Colors of Play has established many professional working relationships with the following organizations and agencies in the NJ/ NY Metropolitan area:

Heartsong

Heartsong, located in Westchester, New York is a non-profit organization that offers a clinically-based music and art therapy program for children with special needs and their families. Colors of Play provides consultation services, clinical supervision and creative arts therapy services to Heartsong.

 

North Star Academy, Newark, NJ

North Star Academy Charter School Of Newark is one of New Jersey’s very first charter public schools, and after a decade has also become one of its most celebrated. North Star and Colors of Play has partnered together and has desveloped a “pilot program”.  An afterschool Art Therapy program for the middle school children will be offered from September through December 2011. The purpose of this program is to provide a creative and therapeutic outlet for those who are having emotional issues and difficulties expressing their feelings.

 

Hudson Partnership Care Management Organization

Hudson Partnership CMO is a non-profit Care Management Organization dedicated to organizing and coordinating services, resources and support for children in Hudson County, NJ with multiple and complex emotional and behavioral needs. Colors of Play provides individual Creative Art and Play Therapy to children in their homes as well as community based groups which addresses the psychosocial needs of the children and families referred to their system.

 

ArtWorks, The Naomi Cohain Foundation

ArtWorks is a non-profit organization that provides children and young adults suffering from chronic and life-threatening illnesses, and their siblings, access to creative and performing arts within hospitals and medical settings. Colors of Play has provided ArtWorks with consultation as well as clinical supervision services for their Intensive Creative Artists in Residence (Intensive CAIR) program, where professional working artists are trained to work with the pediatric population in the hospital setting.

 

Catholic Charities/ Family Resource Center

The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides coordinated treatment and prevention services to families identified by DYFS (New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services) as having abused or neglected children. Colors of Play provides the center with Creative Arts Therapy workshops for the children in the afterschool program.
